Do you have a no mentor? Someone who helps you find both your brave yes and your life-giving no?
If you’ve been around here for any amount of time, you know my sister Myquillyn is my No Mentor and today I’m thrilled to host her as my guest.
In these special episodes, I’m sitting down with a guest to talk about their decision-making habits, regrets, quirks and questions. My sister Myquillyn, who you may know as The Nester, recently released her second book, Cozy Minimalist Home, which is was an instant Wall Street Journal bestseller and continues to bring joy and inspiration to homes nationwide.
We’ve talked before about how we all have unique ways of approaching decisions in our lives – either from our head, our heart, or our gut or intuition.
Myquillyn leads with her head — which is why I love this conversation because she points out the importance of making choices that bring joy, even for a thinker like her. Listen in.
Where to find Myquillyn:

Hey there! It was so much fun to hear you gals on the podcast this morning while I was driving. Especially the kitten conversation…I kid you not — as I listened I saw a “Free Kittens” sign on the side of the road! Could it be a “sign?” (Haha, couldn’t resist.) I honestly haven’t been feeling like I need a kitten…but then, you never know…Thanks again!
I have been an avid listener of your podcast since day one. It is my favorite ever and I recommend it to people all the time. I loved listening to you and your sister together! I think her three things filter melds beautifully with your next right thing.
1. Do what you know
2. Finish what you started
3. Use what you have
4. Do the next right thing
I have this written down and it is the filter which is really helping me make better decisions. Thank you!
IF you love kittens, you have to read the children’s story Roar of a Snore by Marsha Diane Arnold.
Love the way you love & affirm one another.
Just now listened to you and your sister…and just hearing your giggles and sharing of memories made me smile…and miss my sweet girlfriends. I don’t have a sister, unfortunately. Thank you both for sharing your thoughts and insights and giggles!
