The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You support my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me. –Psalm 16:5-6

If you’ve ever felt like you could make better decisions if only you had more time, if you’ve ever wished for time to stop just for a while so you could catch your breath, today’s episode is for you.

Listening to your podcasts has become a Saturday morning treat for my daughter and I. Thank you. This one really struck a chord with me. I have been captivated by chimes since reading the novel, “The Book of Hours”, by T. Davis Bunn. It is the story of a small village in England that was facing the challenge of a corporation that wanted to silence the chimes in the community. I literally read it in one sitting. Loved this podcast!

Sitting in the grocery store parking lot, listening to your spoken words, scripture and the bells, I am moved but unable to move. I’m just so struck by the beauty of all of those things and how you pieced them together maybe not unlike the one who constructed the bell and the building that holds it. For me, the next right thing is to sit in this moment and reflect on your thoughtful podcast. The car is running. My heart is beating. And I am still. Which is perfectly fine because I have no idea what to make for dinner anyway. Thank you for your gift. And ps. Is that you playing the piano in the background? Beauty everywhere. xo

I guess I’m an odd duck too! I also would have cried at that moment of awe and silence! I did have the chills as you spoke about the day of the eclipse. I remember it so well. I am so thankful for this podcast! You are such a joy and breath of fresh air. Thank you!!!!

I like the statement about the goodness of God in giving us boundaries and rhythms. We were discussing the first chapter of Ecclesiates in Bible study a couple weeks ago (and have chapter 3 upcoming this week) and the references to the rhythms of days and seasons and years really struck all of us as something we need as humans. We do thrive on rhythms and seasons and the change and sameness that come with them.

I am in a season where time seems to go too quickly and decisions are failing to be made or causing stress. One step. One more step. That is how I want to live my week this week.
