Creating space for your soul to breathe so you can discern your next right thing.

27: Stop Rushing Clarity

“The steps of a man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his way. When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, because the Lord is the One who holds his hand.”

–Psalm 37:23-24

If you are distracted and overwhelmed by a particular decision and you just can’t seem to move forward, you might feel like either something is wrong with your process or something is wrong with you.

Neither one of these has to be true. In today’s episode, I’ll share two things you can let go of today that will help you take your next right step.

There’s refreshment with this perspective! While thinking about justifying or defending myself, how can I hear that still small voice? As usual the gentlest most reasonable and kindest way is to pause before anything.

I’ve given up sugar for lent – but then you went on to push my button. I haven’t given up the larger obsession that keeps me numb and disengaged. In fact, I was hoping you hadn’t noticed that one. But God did. And used my calm moments listening to you as a wake up call. Much needed, beloved sister-in-Christ. Thank you for these quiet moments and for honesty and transparency in the way you share your journey.
