Creating space for your soul to breathe so you can discern your next right thing.

15: Name the Narrative

One reason why it might be difficult to do the next right thing is because you just feel plain stuck: stuck in discouragement, stuck in your schedule, or stuck due to circumstances beyond your control.

How can you hold on to hope when you feel stuck? Even more, how can you keep from feeling bad about the fact that you don’t feel hopeful in the midst of a hard time?

It get’s layered, doesn’t it? We’ll attempt to pull back some of those layers and create a little space for your soul to breathe in today’s episode.

    Hi Emily,
I’m friends with Nancy Writebol. We worked together during the very Ebola outbreak when she got sick. I’m a disaster response nurse with Samaritan’s Purse, and I was working in that same Ebola unit along with her. I sent her the podcast info. so she could listen. She will be blessed at how her story impacted you. I love your podcast so much. You have a great way of using words to teach and inspire.

I love that! Well tell her hello for me 😉 I wrote some along these same lines back in 2014 and her daughter-in-law commented back then. Was so glad to hear from her as well.

I’m so glad I looked back through episodes I hadn’t listened to yet when I needed some encouragement today. I’m in the middle of one of those stories that could be told as a narrative of discouragement. This was exactly what I needed. ❤️
