After my first (and only) cruise experience with my family, I decided I prefer my vacations on land rather than on sea. Water for as far as the eye can see? Walking sideways through narrow hallways? Water glasses sliding across the dinner table? No thank you.
While I was on the ship I was tempted to fight against the movement, but there was nothing I could do to make it stop. Since I couldn’t change it, I had to learn to make peace with it, at least for the week.
Yesterday morning I had plans to record this episode first thing in the morning only to wake up to find my computer charger wasn’t working and our car wouldn’t start. The day continued like that, one thing right after the next, making my already long list of things to do even longer, forcing priorities I hadn’t planned and wish could change.
In today’s episode, I’ll share one action and one question to help you make peace with the activity in your own life, giving a bit of space to consider your next right thing.
