In 1987, my family moved from our Indiana hometown to the Quad Cities in Iowa on the Mississippi River. The drive was nearly six hours and after several trips between Iowa and Indiana, my sister and I learned to recognize the halfway mark. So of course, every time we traveled home to visit family, we would belt out Bon Jovi , Oh! We’re halfway the-ere. Oh OH, livin’ on a pra-ayer!
I’m humming a little Bon Jovi this week because we’re nearly half-way through our 31 day series. Today’s post will be over at (in)courage, but before I send you there I wanted to hit the pause button and check in.
How is everyone doing? I have an outline of the rest of the month, but are there questions or topics in particular about living art, making art, or even the book in general that you would like for me to touch on during the few weeks we have left? Leave your ideas in the comments.
As a quick reminder, our book club for A Million Little Ways starts one week from today on Bloom for (in)courage! You can check out the reading schedule here. I had a lot of fun with Angie, Robin, and Jessica taping the the videos for you in Nashville this weekend.
I hope you’ll join us. Get your copy of the book from DaySpring, Amazon, Barnes and Noble or your favorite book seller. The price on the book has dropped by $3 pretty much everywhere since last week so now is a good time to grab a copy.
Since this is turning into a news-y post anyway, I have to tell you one more fun thing: if you are a teen girl, have a teen girl, or love a teen girl, the e-book version of my book Graceful {For Young Women} is on sale right now on Amazon for only $3.99! It makes a great read for a small group or mom and daughter. And you can download the free leader guide I wrote to help lead your group in discussion.
Now for today’s post. Head on over to (in)courage to read 5 Ways to Make Art in Less Than an Hour. And remember, if you have any questions or suggestions for the 31 day series, I would love to hear them in the comments.
