May we be the kind of listeners who offer kind eyes and open hearts. May we ask curious questions and leave agendas at the door. May we swallow the I-told-you-so’s and let the minutes fall gently away as we sit beside the people in our company without demanding they be good company for us. This is hard, to be sure. Let’s do it anyway.
