Creating space for your soul to breathe so you can discern your next right thing.

for your weekend

sunsetMay your weekend be filled with grace, the kind you receive and the kind you give. May your thoughts be clear while you drink your coffee, your laughs be long while you eat your cake, and may your friendships ever deepen around your weekend dinner table. In some way however small, find time to break bread, thank God, and celebrate.

Enjoy your weekend, friends.

Here are a few good reads from my fellow bloggers on the team traveling to Uganda next weekend:

  • Trending in Our House in 2014 by The Nester
  • That Thing You Didn’t Do But Wished You Had by Jeff Goins
  • Buttermilk Chocolate Chip Waffles by Joy the Baker
  • Fables of Fortune: Pretend Friends by Shaun Groves
  • Sponsor a Child in Uganda at Compassion. We hope to find sponsors for 500 children who don’t currently have sponsors in Uganda.

So many of your posts resonate deep within me. And the things that you talk about (the fears, the anxiety, the grace, the hope) read like regular words on the screen, but they touch the very heart of it all – our struggles against the backdrop of who He Is. I know the courage it takes to say these things out loud for anyone to hear. Thanks for being brave enough to say them anyway.

Hello Emily! My husband travels to Uganda, too. I pray your trip is safe and soul-growing.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for your weekend blessings. There are some blogs I read (and really enjoy) that demand so much that sometimes I sigh internally and skip over them till I have the energy to take them in. With your blog I sigh a different kind of sigh. The kind that says, “Thank you, for being an island of refreshment in a sometimes too-busy world.” I am always blessed and encouraged by your writing.

    Emily,
It may be a little thing, but I so appreciate that you include links authored by men. In this large and lovely world of Christian Women it is easy to become myopic. There are, however, some important perspectives I have been missing.
    Thank you!
    Donita
