on being brave when you feel wimpy

courage

Ever feel like you might possibly maybe perhaps have something to offer the world around you but you just can’t manage to find the courage you need to open your hands and offer it?

Or open your mouth and say it?

Or pick up your pen and write it?

Or swing wide your door and let them in?

Today at (in)courage, I’m sharing 3 ways to be brave when you feel like a wimp.

I read it and completely enjoyed it. Thanks for offering your advice. I also enjoyed the podcast the other day. All very helpful information with Jesus as the center, which is my favorite part!

Emily, thank you so much for this! My personality is very much like your’s. I can especially identify with taking a while to formulate thoughts and opinions…a trait that makes being a part of small group discussions very frustrating. And loving the freedom that comes from identifying and accepting my limitations…not comparing myself to others and trying to be “every woman.” A LOVE a Sara Groves song that talks about this: Finite. Have you heard it? Here’s a link: http://youtu.be/ISqVc4KNxpg. Thanks again…you are a great encouragement to me.

Yes, yes, yes, and yes! Thank you Emily! I NEED to hear this! I am PETRIFIED of the phone, yet I know God is promting me to call someone…..

Thanks Emily, this really spoke into where I’m at today, I’m feeling challenged to embrace some old old dreams which got put away when I developed a joint condition and was unable to do them anymore. Maybe I can after all, but with a few years of joint-condition-management-practice under my belt. Limitations + courage to use my gifts + permission to keep it safe.

    Thank you.
