Nine Days From Now

bahamas 1Nine days from today, I fly away to warmer weather. This time, to Uganda. Today I’m writing a bit about that over at (in)courage: Looking for Hope in All the Right Places.

Praying for travel mercies for you and the whole team. Overwhelming need can teach us to look to God as it is so clearly beyond us to meet the need.
Today we looked at an old abandoned building called The White House as a prospective church location. It’s near an area of Accra (Ghana) called Sodom & Gomorrah. It’s a slum by any standard and has just the kind of hopeless people we HOPE to reach with the love of God and the HOPEFUL gospel of Jesus Christ.
As Americans we fear poverty. Starvation and disease are the worst physical effects, but your post reminded me of the spiritual toll of poverty: hopelessness. Jesus can replace hopelessness with hope even in the midst of poverty.
Praying for some internet access to follow your adventures.
We are here for 6 weeks ministering in the north of Ghana.
May God give you eyes to see and words to tell the stories.

Spot on with this write-up, I honestly believe
this web site needs much more attention. I’ll probably be returning
to see more, thanks for the info!
