a weekend prelude to hush

May your weekend be filled with hope. If you need time, may you have the space to take it. If you need courage, may you have the heart to find it. If you need support, may you have a friend who sees you. If you need laughter, may you discover the funny where you least expect it.

But if time is full, courage hides, friends are distant and funny doesn’t share, may your loneliness escort your spirit to discover your deepest desire is God, and his fullness is available to you today.

Enjoy your weekend, friends.

Emily. You *do* know that you’re a gift, right? I hope that you rest in that. And I hope that you know it deeply. But in case you don’t (or forget):

This encouragement is a sound reflection of God’s heart…which makes you a gift. Yay!

As I am writing down my 1,000 gifts for this year (we will not discuss how I have not even reached 400 and it is October), I wrote just this week for how I am thankful that loneliness forces me to press in closer to Him. These days this month have been hurried and full and, sometimes, tear-inducing. But they have driven me right where I need to be – into His arms.

    Sweet weekend blessings to you.
